Full Stack Software Engineer January 2019 - February 2020

Worked on the B2B Storefront Attract & Nurture team on the customer facing B2B portion of the website. Worked on full stack of application; the React, Javascript, and CSS frontend using REST and Graphql to access the PHP and MSSQL backend. Acted as "Captain" for several initiatives within Wayfair. This involved organizing and completing work on behalf of the team to align with company wide initiatives. Experience implementing A/B and libra testing.

Provided peer feedback through regular code reviews. Provided mentorship to new employees through the Labs program. Participated in all aspects of software development life cycle. Actively participated in team meetings such as grooming and sprint planning. Participated in Women in Tech events, Ran the Wayfair Knitting Club.

PTC

Associate Consultant II January 2017 - July 2018

Worked at a PTC Solution Center as a Software Developer contracted out to various customer projects.
Each project was it's on egagement, involving onboarding and knowledge transfer. This has given me experience onboarding quickly so I can be more productive on the project. Each project, spanning different customers, industries, and skill sets, was unique and as such each is covered individually below.

In addition to my development tasks, I joined the Committee for Community Outreach and Center Improvement. We put together fundraising and volunteer events to benefit the local community. We organized office activies such as the annual family day picnic as well.

During my time at PTC I won 4 awards for improving the center, my technical abilities, and communication skills.

Medecision

Analytics Engineer May 2018 - July 2018

Write and test scalable ETLs for JSON and CSV files going into the data warehouse. The analytics portion of the application read data from the warehouse and returned a report daily.

In addition to new development tasks, team was responsbile for identifing and investigating data anomalies and patterns within system. As the project progressed the team began to update and maintain legacy code and documentation.

Technologies include Talend, Redshift, MySQL, and Java.

Raytheon

Thingworx Developer/Work Package Coordinator December 2017 - May 2018

Created custom REST services to integrate Thingworx with Windchill. Development tasks included Javascript, REST, Thingworx, and Java development.

Stepped into the WPC role when the project was in danger of cancellation. Wrote a custom high ceremony Agile process which became our SDLC.

Also assumed other WPC tasks for the project. This included many project wide tasks and the sprint planning tasks. The team was given a bucket of tasks to work from. I organized these tasks into sprints and scheduled them around resource availability, ie around planned PTO, jury duty, and sick days.
During the sprints I managed the sprint schedule using Jira and daily stand ups. I scheduled and ran the meetings planned during the SDLC. I created documentation for the customer and a tool to generate documentation.
I acted as the team WPC in addition to my regular development tasks.

Chrisitiana Care Health Services

Java Developer April 2017 - December 2017

Backend Java development on a legacy IoT Analytics healthcare system with a neural network. Ran on a remote CentOs Linux server. Maintained and updated software using Java, Hibernate, Postgres, ActiveMQ, Tomcat, Java Service Wrapper, Bash, and Python. Other technologies used on this project include Confluence, Jira, Git, and BitBucket.

Extensive development in Java and Bash based on customer requirements, production issues, and maintenance tasks. Also responsible for production releases, creating and updating unit and integration tests, third party knowledge transfer, and refactoring.

Rules Developer July 2015 - March 2016

Developed code to ensure that medical claims are properly completed, information is correct and present, and to modify relevant medical forms with necessary data. Additionally, implement functionality associated with various parts of the system such as ICD-10 conversion and system’s transition to include in-patient practice.
Developed in Pearl, PSQL, and a company proprietary language.

PTC Special Thanks And Recognition Award
Awarded for successfully handling a severity 0 customer production e-down failure solo on CCHS project.
Additionally for creating an office "Sunshine Fund" to raise funds for and manage gifts for coworkers for life events. Sunhine Fund activities have included graduation presents for coworkers achieving MBA, meals sent for grieving coworkers and family members after the loss of a loved one, and holding events to raise funds for coworker family medical emergencies.

Awarded for excellent customer service and technical ability on the CCHS project. Handled a very challenging customer controversy while all senior team members were out of the country.

Awarded for creating various tools and utilities for to aid coworkers in their day to day activities, such as colored log files and automation of simple tasks.

WSET Level 1

Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 1 Award in Wine.
Awarded upon passing the WSET Level 1 Wines exam. Studied global viticulture and vineculture from around the world. Completed after classes Wines of the World and Wine Connisour both at RIT .
